Venice // Flyin in // Day 1

I'm so excited to share and take you along on our most recent trip!
I decided to do something a little differently and try to take some video so that you can feel more apart of the trip. However, just to warn you,  I don't know how to take good video. Also, due to the size of the videos, I decided to upload them to YouTube, so links will be provided.
----------------

Two things I learned and found helpful.
1. If you are carrying a backpack put all the zippers to one side and tuck in the ends so it's a challenge for pickpockets.
2. Don't pack your extra pair of shoes in your bag. Attach them to your carry-on luggage and save that room in you backpack for something else.(learned this one a bit late).
----------------------------
So day one started with us being dropped off at the airport. Check-in was easy since we all had carry-on luggage( I honestly could have packed less) and the plane ride, though a long 10 hrs, was smooth. At the beginning of the flight, they had the safety video in sign language which was the first time I had seen that. We landed in Rome and then ran to our next connection due to our landing behind schedule. We were supposed to be boarding the next plane when we were still waiting to get off the first plane. We made it though, and flew to Venice where we walked to a water taxi and got a  boat ride to where we would be staying. After getting settled, we walked around and had a late dinner. By the end of these posts, I'm pretty sure you will know my favorite color. If you have any comments or have a favorite picture I'd love to hear from you!
